Kindness Matters in M17 & J38

Random Acts of Kindness Capes

In M17 we have been learning about the importance of kindness.

We set personal missions for acts of kindness that could be done at school and at home. We knew that we could be kind to family, friends, classmates or anyone at all.

M17 decided that one of our acts would be to create superhero capes for our very special buddies in Year 1. We wrote them penpal letters to find out their interests and likes and then designed a cape for each of them that we hoped they would enjoy.

Our act of kindness wasn’t for a reward, it was for the joy of being kind to someone else.

We found out that the HUGE smiles we received made us feel amazing!

Be kind, pass it on.

Watch us fly!!

Dear M17 and Miss Breadon,

Thanks again to you all for the capes. The Year Ones loved them. Some of the students were still wearing them at Sport in the last hour of the day! They really felt “caped in kindness”.

From Mrs Luff
