On April 5th we had some exciting events to finish up Term 1.
Firstly, one of our brave teachers took on the challenge for World’s Greatest Shave. Mrs Delport more than doubled her sponsorship goal by raising over $3000 for the Leukaemia Foundation. Our proud school also donated $500 to this very worthy cause. Mrs Delport’s friends and family joined the school community in watching her ‘get the chop’ at our final assembly and we were all delighted to be a part of this charity fundraiser.
Another event our school enjoyed on the final day of term was our annual CUA Fun Run. Students dressed in their house colours and cheered each other as they participated in levelled cross-country races. Jamieson was victorious on the day, with pleased PE teachers Mr Holmes and Mr Davie presenting an engraved shield to the winning house.
